What makes me a great caregiver is that I pay attention to details. I first started working with elders within my monastery taking care of their basic needs and taking them back and forth to doctor's appointments and following their doctors care of plan. HELLO! My career as a caregiver started with a chronically ill father. Throughout my childhood and in my early teens my dad was very ill with diabetes Type 1. When I was 5 years old my dad lost his eyesight. As a preteen I participated in his care helping with blood sugar readings and Insulin injections. When I was able to drive I help out by taking him to doctor's appointments. I went away to college and lived in Florida for a few years and as my dad became progressively worse I moved home. I became increasingly involved in his care as my mother was worn out and had a very full-time job. At that point I decided to change career paths and go to nursing school. My love of taking care of people is a direct result of the experience I had administering Loving Care to my father . I considered to be a dedicated and resourceful Private Duty Nurse. With an exceptional record of in-home health care provision I am able to function well independently in home medical emergency situations and to coordinate regular care regimens with physicians and other hospital staff. I started out with the desire to be a caregiver after helping to take care of my great grandmother as a child. Also my mom and grandmother are both nurses. I enjoyed being able to help people who need help. What makes me good at what I do is my compassion. I love people, all kinds of people. I have taken care of all ages, from all over the world. I learn who they are, where they are from, what they like, and what they believe in. And from there I respect all their wishes and do everything I can to ensure they are happy and well taken care of. I am very hard working. I do not mind doing anything that is needed of me.

I am a great caregiver because I truly love and care about my patients, I enjoy spending time with them and getting to know their lives and stories and personalities. I became a caregiver after I had started working in a long term care facility doing activity work. I saw the nursing assistant loved and cared for their patients and I wanted to do that too. I am most proud of overcoming my many obstacles growing up that I had and learning from them to be the best person and caregiver I can be.
