I have been a caregiver for 28 years. I have worked in nursing homes, assisted living, hospitals and in private homes. I love my job. I enjoy knowing that my care and love has helped people and saved people. It is very self satisfying to see someone light up and smile when I come in their room or their homes. I have been told I have a huge heart and I am a very caring and loving person and my experience is very helpful. It fills my heart with joy to know I make a difference in that persons life.
I am also CPR and First AID certified. I have my certification if needed . I'm a very sweet and loving person . I love being a caregiver because I took on the responsibility of caring for my grandmother and I absoulty enjoyed the compassion and great stories she always has to tell . Also i feel like it's a big part of respecting your elders . Some if not most become childlike again and they need someone that is very compassionate and has patients and kind. I'm everything good you are looking for in a caregiver .
I have been a caregiver my entire life. I took care of my sister who is mentally and physically handicapped from the age of 5 years old, until i went to college. She has spina bifida, hydrocepholas, a shunt, and other health issues/ conditions. I can help transfer to and from a wheel chair, Cath, change diapers, dress, bath, anything! I have also been a caregiver to my dying grandparents and an 87 year old woman with parkinsons and dementia. She suffered from incontinence, mood swings, aggression, and anger issues. There's not much i can't handle. I've also worked with special needs people a lot, examples down syndrome, autism, MS, and other physical and mentally handicaps.
My name is Ashley. I grew up in the health care field as I was raised by the sick and elderly. Caring for others who can no longer make it alone, is what I do best. I am very empathetic, caring, and loving. I will always go the extra mile to see to it that your family member gets the care they deserve.
