I, Shonita Badillo became a caregiver because I love working with the elderly and, sick. Caregiving has always been my passion because, when I was a teenager I cared for my grandmother. I enjoy being a caregiver because, it gives me joy to see a smile on my clients face, and, also I feel I can bring a lot to their life such as understanding patience and, compassion. I feel I have achieved experience over the last 15 years. As I continue to work as a caregiver I feel more confident that I know my job and, that I can relate to my clients better. I have 15 years of experience as a certified nursing assistant. I have worked in a hospitals nursing homes and, private homes. My future plans is to futher my nursing experience. I hope to find a nice family to work for because I feel I have a lot to bring to a patients life. My availability is working days part time or fulltime.

I would like to believe that I would be a perfect fit for anyone but thats not true. What I can say about myself is that I am dedicated, I am a hard worker, and I am a fast learner. I have been in healthcare some way, shape, or form since I was 15. I started off in a nursing home in the kitchen, went to work at a group home for developmentally challenged individuals, then I moved to a memory care unit while I resided in Florida, and now I work in emergency services as a dispatcher. What attracts me of being a caregiver is I'm a vary love able person and this is my passion to help elder people. I want to become a CNA. The most thing I enjoy the most is taking care of my patients/residents and make sure they get the proper care

The qualities I posses is a set of intrinsic qualities that certain human beings possess and others do not. It is all about personality and how that personality fits with the patient and the members of their family. It’s just as simple as that.I have a natural urge to help others. Often times I have always placed a priority on helping other people. Being that I want to make the world a better place and do it with one home care patient at a time.

I am a great provider as I have been a certified nurse assistant since 1999 to current. I have encountered many skills while working with a variety of diagnoses. As I epitomized leadership and engaged with other co workers and families as a team player it was very rewarding to aide the elderly in maintaining optimal care. As I facilitated and performed safe routine, personal healthcare, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming to accomplish activities of daily living. While providing care, I had the opportunity to make a difference in client's lives at many different facilities such as: nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living homes and during home health. My goal is to become a Registered Nurse owning a five bedroom home occupied by both alzhiemer and dementia possess clients. I helped with taking care of my grandmother whom which had dementia while at home for fifteen years.

Not everyone has the patience to take care of others. Growing up I seen my mom be a cna for years. I loved how happy she made their day by the smiles she gave them. I wanted to do the same. I also wanted experience in the medical field. I always wanted to be a nurse. So I knew this would be a step in the door. I actually treat patients like family. You become a part of their life! They become my life! I'm a very loving person and a great listener. They need someone not to just do their job but to also listen. . Its important to let them know you are there every step of the way. I want them to know they can count on me. By listening and giving them much care as I need to.Most importantly I just want to treat ppl the way I want to be treated. With love and respect!

I have been a CNA since 2010. Cpr and Non-violent crisis intervention certificates are current. Taking Care of and helping others has always been my calling.
