I became a caregiver because thats always been my job and i studied for elderly care. I like this job because i like taking care of others, and trying to make people feel good. A proud acheivement i have is getting my career that helps me make a difference

CNA license , CPR license and DMV license aviable if needed Since 1992, and worked in nursing home and sunrise assistant living until 2000 part time From 2000 to 2007 I worked for Fedex until my mother got sick and I took FMLA for 3 months But my mother needed me longer so I resigned 2008 I went back to home health care working for an agency visiting Angels 2009 I started working privately for myself until 2014-2015 I started working for another agency Virginia Home Health Care Services 703-822-5252 Back to private 11/30/15 I have worked with special needs, 4 adults and 1 child and 1 teenage through VHCS. Being a caregiver gives me an immense amount of joy. But if I could highlight a particular aspect about being a caregiver as my favorite, it would be knowing that I am transforming someone else's life for the better.

I enjoy helping others, and one of the things I like is to get engage the client and family in their care. I love cooking and reading, I love to engage into a routine that makes my client confident on his/her care. However, at times some people likes to pick what ever they like to do daily, still, there is no problem with that! I am a happy person, I enjoy making my client smile and keep with good spirit. I enjoy the outdoors and keeping my client active. I have worked for hospice as well, and I do not have a problem seating with someone and just listen, or also just keep silent while things do not go the way they expected. I have a great training with Alzheimer's disease and dementia; and here, I really enjoy the elderly! I received my CNA/HHA certification in 1997. I moved from California to Virginia and have not attended school here. I do have a valid with very good clean driving record DL and a CPR training if need it and I am well trained when doing safe transfers. I am working in a hospital .8 was hired to be clear; but I want to work more.

My Mother was in the profession and from a child,I was in awe of her work which prompted me to follow suit! I prefer in home care as all my attention is focused on the happiness and well being of my client. I was very proud to receive my Associates Degree in Wales,my training was exceptional. My aim has always been,to be loving,caring,compassionate and calm in a crisis,someone who can be trusted,totally to provide excellent care to those in need of my services. I love animals,outdoor activities,cooking to name but a few of favorite interests!
