I currently live on a small hobby farm that includes horses, a donkey, chickens, dogs, cats, rabbits and even a turkey. I spend quite a bit of time vegetable and fruit gardening and enjoy a variety of crafts. I am also a volunteer at the local senior center. I am married, with 5 grown children and 6 grandchildren, and am fortunate enough to still have both my parents! My specialties are Cancer Care, Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation, Post-Acute, Memory Care, and Hospice Care. I have an innate ability to anticipate the needs of my client, both emotionally and physically. I am open and approachable, and am able to comfortably converse with my client based on their interests and experiences. I'm known for giving great baths and showers and I'm nurse delegation certified, so I can assist with catheters, insulin, wound care and more. I have a clean, dependable car and insurance. I am willing to transport to appointments, outings and events or just stay home together. A few things about me that makes me an amazing caregiver is that not only do I believe to still give them there Independence in a safe manor but I also care deeply from my heart and try my best to always get all there needs complete. One thing that made me interested in being a caregiver was when I was 10 I used to go to my great grandpas retirement home and help out with everyone. I enjoyed it so much, seeing there faces when I would help with something or just sit and listen made me feel like I won a million dollars. It's the most rewarding thing in life is to give back as much as I can to others that have done so much in life. One of the most enjoyable things as a caregiver is completing a goal that boosts up there confidence. When I first meet someone and they have alot of trouble with something, I help work on it and once I see the progress and smile on there face it makes me so happy to see them happy. That's all I strive to do is make it easier and happier for them . A professional Achievement I have had is that I have been a caregiver for 5 years and havent once had a horrible experience. I have gotten so much knowledge and have been through tons of experience I feel like nothing is too difficult for me to achieve. I'm an easy going type of person. I have Been a Caregiver for 16+ years total,ranging from Facility Shift Lead & In home CNA the past 3 years, to being a private Nanny ,group home staff member and Private Aide/housekeeper. Being a caregiver comes naturally to me and I enjoy it simply because I love helping others wherever I can. I have been a caregiver/CNA for 5 years now. I have worked in everything from mental health, to hospice, to an emergency room. I have an extremely adaptable personality and I am self motivated.
