I am a retired former state employee located in S. Austin. I never saw myself as a caregiver but as life takes its course, I have found that I enjoy being there for others in very delicate times of their life. Giving family members peace of mind knowing that their loved ones are not alone is very rewarding. Over the last 3 years I have taken care of not only immediate family members but also, very close friends. Most recently I have cared for a 92 yr. old friend who unfortunately was debilitated by COVID. Seeing her go from near death to being independent again has brought me such joy . Knowing I contributed to her successful recovery is priceless. I would like to share what I've learned and continue to be there for others.
