I am a young lady with a big heart and lots of patients. I am a graduate with a Biology degree. I am a provider, companion, and a friend to many. I am a caregiver. I have always felt the need to care for and help others. When asked what gift God gave me, I answer the gift to care unconditionally even when the flesh tries to go against it. To make sure others are taken care of is a feeling of comfort and joy for me. My shoulder and my hands have no discrimination because I care for all and this is what makes me a great caregiver. Every since I was a young girl I took care of other of all ages. I babysittied for the younger kids, a mentor or motivater for my generation, and I was a helper and a listener for the elder. I didn't seek out being a caregiver, being a caregiver chose me. The joy that comes from helping others and seeing them appreciate your help and the life long relationship that are developed is what makes me really like being a caregiver.

Make home visits throughout the Houston community, screening any child under the age of six years old to six months old for possible lead poison and provide educational information on lead poisoning and prevention. Attend health fairs and give presentations to community schools and refer children as per the protocols. Initiate a finger stick, collect blood, label blood samples, and run test on the Lead-Care II Blood Analyzer to obtain results or send specimens to lab for analysis. Maintain records of all transactions in BLIMS (Blood Lead Information Management System) and, preferred basic computer skills. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ect).
