I provided care for spinal cord injury patient who was a quadriplegic on a ventilator with a tracheostomy. I would do vital signs, preform bowel programs, trachea care, oral suction, trachea suction, change the trachea monthly, change ostomy and wafer prn, change j tube and g tube prn, set up feeding machine and start feeding, monitor patient on ventilator, give side breathes after giving nebulizer treatment, transfer from wheelchair to bed using hoyer lift, perform full R.O.M., and communication with patient by spelling with his eyes. Made sure adequate supplies was in stock, order supplies, train new employees, audit co workers paper work, and give report on full head to toe assessment on patient.
