I've been a c.n.a for 11 years and I love it! I love taking care of people! I feel like I'm their family member taking care of them when their families aren't able to. I treat my residents like I would want my mother, grandma, papa treated. I'm very dependable, trustworthy, loving and caring. I've been certified 11 years so I know all the state laws and regulations for a c.n.a. I also always follow them. That's how I can be so proud and know that I'm a good aide because of all my knowledge from working in nursing homes and in home health care. I mostly enjoy taking care of people because it gives me a purpose. I believe its what I was called to do. I always get attached to my residents and they always get attached to me as well. I dont just take care of people for a paycheck, I do it because thats what I love to do! My mom is a R.N. and growing up I always went to work with her so I was always around the elderly and nursing homes and I loved it then and still do to this day.

I worked in the Alzheimer's Unit. I loved it. It's such a horrible disease and I just wanted to make the rest of their lives the best! I helped them with activities of daily living. I made sure they stayed hydrated. I helped the ones who couldn't feed themselves anymore. I helped them go to the bathroom as much as they needed or every 2 hours. I showered and shaved them. I just love taking care of people.
