I then moved to Houston to care for my Mother in law who was diagnosed with stomach cancer i also provided total care for her on hospice.. Being a caregiver actually fills a part of my life i don't have any more my grand mother.. I really enjoy my job as a caregiver.. I try to provide the best care possible and treat all my patients with respect and tender loving care as i would want my family to be treated ..I have worked in and out of hospitals nursing homes and rehabilitation centers..I can work live in or out am pm evenings and over nights, respite care. dementia, Alzheimer, an ADL's, memory loss, medication, peg tube, companionship, Colostomy, wound care, light house cleaning, meal prep. hands on care . I am very flexible and reliable with my own vehicle . I am a Hispanic single retired mother, grandma and friend. I love people especially children and the elderly. I get along with everyone and am friendly and energetic. I decided to start applying for part time jobs to stay active and help others. I have raised 5 children and helping a son raise his son who has special needs. I work around my yard and like walking and riding my bike around town. I have helped care for my older sister with parkinsons in the past until hospice came in to help. I also helped care for a gentleman experiencing dementia and having issues with his balance. I also have been a home health aide for about 7 persons with Carelink in the past. I would like to work weekdays if needed, maybe as caregiver, companion or to run errands.
