After many years as a stay-at-home mom, I returned to work in 2014 by providing care to elderly clients on Lopez Island. Although I had previously worked as an occupational therapist several years before, caregiving was the only option that I had on the island, one to which I could continue to apply the knowledge and skills learned through my OT experience.
