What makes me a great caregiver it's my empathy and kind with others, they need to be treat with dignity, respect and compassion. I became a caregiver cause since I was little my mom had to take care of my grandmother which she had Alzheimer, and I enjoyed soo much and learned since them to be patience and understand how the circle of life is and that we all going to walk that way one day. What I like the most about been a caregiver it is that I know that I'm doing my best to give them the quality of life that they deserve. My greatest accomplishment occurred when I had the chance to work and help the Alzheimer group.

during this time I took care of different elderly persons, there where some with Alzheimer, at their home and at a nursing home. Some of them I was contracted as a companion most of the time. Others I had to feed them, taking for a walk, watch tv, play cards, dance, and helping at bed time. And I also took care of my mom who had a stoke and could walk, so she was in bed and I took care of her, until she pass away.

Hello! My name is April and I would love to be your caregiver. We have been a military family for 30 years and it is time to hang it up! I first became a caregiver when I was actually 18 years old. I became a Texas EMT. I was very rewarding but we got stationed elsewhere. Then when we made it back to Fort Hood I decided to go to CNA school. Again it was very rewarding but the military moved us. Two years after we moved my grandmother became sick. Instead of going to a care facility where there is no telling how she would be treated she ended up staying at home so that her family could take care of her. Even when she would have to be hospitalized for a short period of time she would tell the nurses that I was her care giver and that she wanted me to do the tasks instead of them. I want to be your caregiver because our mature family members need great care. Not just left alone in a bed to sit.
