After graduating high school, I became aware that my great aunt needed better care than where she was living. I became a certified nurses aid and a caregiver because I knew I could offer others the assistance needed to retain independence, live a better quality of life, and experience fulfilling social contact. I enjoy spending time with seniors and learning about theirs lives. I'm proud that as a student of psychology, I can use my learning and my skills to help others. My family and I love Texas, enjoy the fresh air and remain active in our church and home. I've been a caregiver for the last 20 years and have met some of the most wonderful people/clients. They have enriched my life with their knowledge and experience, so I continue to strive to spend time with those who are older and wiser. I also like to travel, whether to the nearby grocery store or to take a client to see family members, but sitting at home and working on a crossword puzzle is also just as fun. I'm flexible and eager to meet any challenge.
