I became a caregiver initially when my brother opened a home healthcare facility in California. Prior to that position, I was a dietician for a nursing home in Richardson, TX. I enjoy taking care of those in need and have always been referred to my past employers. I never had to apply for a position for my previous care giving employment. It was always offered to me due to my reputation and word of mouth. My personal achievement has been providing my clients with the utmost care and creating a safe and compassionate environment. I am most proud of assisting my clients achieve a longer and healthier quality of life. I am a senior myself and I am empathic to their situation. I have assisted in preparing meals, diabetic and medicine needs, preparing my clients daily activities and needs. I have taken my clients to doctor appointments and have worked with those with Dementia and Alzheimer. I am not only a health care provider, but will make it my job to create and treat them as if are family and care for them as such. About myself, I am passionate about cooking and creating a meal that is nutritious and delicious. I have 4 adult children and 7 grand children. I have and continue to assist in raising my grandchildren. Not ready to retire at this stage of my life. I only feel satisfied when helping others. I am female and Filipino and have been raised to respect elders and care for those in need of help.
