I have always been a caregiver, though it's always been with children, I decided to try a part-time job during the summer taking care of seniors and I absolutely fell in love. I enjoy helping others, becoming part of families, hearing stories of times past, there is just so much seniors can offer and I enjoy learning from them. My grandparents were my world, so many things I love doing I got from them. From gardening, going on adventures, and story time. Since I've switched from children to seniors I've been asked so many times how? How could I switch like that? To me all I did was trade the size. Littles and seniors have so much in common and we have so much to learn from both. I'm an energetic person, I don't sit still very well for too long, but I do understand that quiet\nap time is sometimes necessary. Something I'm very proud of ( other than being a mother and now a grandmother) is making it through college. I attended later in life with my older daughter's while having another daughter in that later part of my life. It's an accomplishment I don't think I could have done without the support of my girls and family. I don't have any direct schooling in caring for seniors but I have years of experience and it's something I'm very passionate about.
