Born and raised here in Texas. Mother had me young so, my grandmother was my babysitter/ caregiver while mom and dad worked. I thought it was normal to always be around the elderly, at least It was to me. That's how and where my love for the elderly got started. It was planted, then later bloomed. While living abroad in Las Vegas, Nevada, 2014 Received the best training to be a PCA. learned about Caregiving, Trained in Hospice Care. - Assisting patients in bathing and dressing -Medication Reminder - Household assistance such as laundry, linens, housekeeping - Meal preparation - Shopping, transportation to and from - Companionship and assistance in enjoyment of daily life. I am absolutely willing and happy to help with respite care and or service. Because I understand that everyone in caregiving needs a break or just a little time alone to breathe. I am a Hispanic single retired mother, grandma and friend. I love people especially children and the elderly. I get along with everyone and am friendly and energetic. I decided to start applying for part time jobs to stay active and help others. I have raised 5 children and still help with grandchildren when needed. I work around my yard and like walking and riding my bike around town. I have helped care for my older sister with parkinsons in the past until hospice came in to help. I also helped care for a gentleman experiencing dementia and having issues with his balance. I would love to work weekdays or evenings if needed, maybe as caregiver, companion or to run errands.
