Hello My Name is Patricia Morrow. I completed a CNA program part of my high school and went to work at a small local nursing home. Originally had thought of going to nursing school but I married early and had a difficult pregnancy. I ended up deciding to stay home to raise my family at that time. After my 4 children got a little older I started to care for an elderly lady that I met thru church. I was fortunate enough to work with her starting in 2016 until her passing in 2019. At first was meals, rides to Doctor or store, medication reminders, toiletries, bathing, and house cleaning. As her condition declined and lost mobility it also included bed baths, positioning to prevent pressure ulcers, transfers, post operative care, dressing change and wound care. Was able to develop a wonderful relationship with her and family and am very grateful for the time I was able to spend talking and caring for her. I hope I will be able to make a difference in another caretaker position and hope to speak with you soon.
