About Lina

I enjoy working with people and mostly enjoy jobs where I can have one-on-one interaction. I feel this job is great for me because I like making a difference in somebody's life. Since I was young I decided to be a nurse, which is still one of my main priorities. Helping others makes me feel great, the idea of helping out with regular basis things that a person can't do no more fills me with gratitude. I feel that when I get older, I would want someone like myself to help me out if I needed help. First of all I became a caregiver because my dad had ALS which basically limits you to a bed. He was unable to move, talk or eat by himself, so since then I became his full-time caregiver. It made me happy everyday to help him with everything he needed and I know he was happy that there was someone to help him out. The feeling of helping others is basically what I like about being a caregiver, being someones eyes, legs or hands is something I appreciate doing. A personal achievement I'm most proud of would be being able to give my dad a year of help and love where he didn't have any trouble whatsoever, and make his last year of life a comfortable one.
