Additionally I cared for my Grandmother for over 5 years after she had a knee replacement surgery. She never was able to fully recover and soon became completely immobile needing help with everyday tasks, she couldn't hardly leave her house. This eventually turned into her not being able to use the bathroom on her own and then soon to adult diapers. I made all of her meals and and did all of her shopping, housekeeping, Dr. visits, made apointments, all medical needs and administered her medicines. Toward the end of her life she went completely deaf, and I had to learn to communicate with her in other ways to make sure she had everything she needed. I loved her so much and miss her every day. After my experience I realized that I would like the opportunity to be able to care for another person that needs such services.
