The job was temporary due to me filling in as a substitute. Job duties: I started my day at 6 in the morning, my client attended a day care so in the mornings I helped get him dressed and ready for the day. When he got out of day care, I cooked him dinner, cleaned, if anything else was needed I would always ask. I also washed clothes and picked up food from the grocery store, before the day was over, I threw out the trash.

Duties: Maintaining a population of 40-70 detainees both male and female, job duties include interacting with them, responding to their needs and making sure they are safe. I am currently posted in a segregation dorm, due to Covid-19, detainees are housed in cells during the 14-day quarantine. I alone, offer them recreation, showers and phone time while taking out traffic for visits with attorney, medical and coordinating with feeding times. Mandated Post: We rotated every 4 months in the time that I was a working at the facility. I started in central control which was basically the heart of the facility, my duties were opening and closing doors, making sure they secure them after, and having people identify who they were and why they're at the facility. The special keys are also given to medical and armory, the central control officers have to log in when the keys are taken and turned in. Count is also conducted, during count, each dorm will count how many detainees are housed in their dorm, after counting they will call it in to central. Central also has to answer calls and answer to the Warden/Captain.

Duties: Open up shop, checking the freezers, making sure that they are stocked up with the inventory needed for the day. Which was mainly pizza dough, wings, cinnamon buns and frozen food. I would start to turn on the ovens, prep pizzas, bread sticks, and make sure the pizza sauce is made. Once customers started to enter the restaurant, I would greet them and offer them the deal of the day. All while cashing out other customers and taking drive through orders and phone calls. At the end of the day, I started to clean the store, starting with the floors, then the restroom, all carpets were also taken out and given to UniFirst.

Duties: I started my work day refilling condiments such as tartar sauce, ketchup and cocktail sauce, the restaurant was a seafood menu. After the condiments were done, Id check the tea and ice containers, if tea was needed, I would make some. Then I would check the tables, pick up the trash, plates and silverware that are left behind by the customers. At the end of the day, I cleaned the restrooms, took out all the trash and made sure I rotated the sodas. My work night would usually end around 1 or 2 in the morning, I value my first job because it taught me about hard work and dedication.
