About Barbara

I became a Caregiver because I enjoy helping people. I have been a Guardian of the Person and Estate for three individuals. Being able to assist those in whatever way needed is very rewarding. I had the opportunity to help a Korean Veteran who loved to tell stories. I also helped a 99 3/4 woman who was so full of joy and a woman who had lost her husband that I helped. Also being able to help both of my parents when they needed it. I love giving back, am a caring and loyal woman. Dignity is very important to people who need help and I make sure they have their dignity in many ways. I enjoy helping veterans and helped my Ward get his benefits. My duties included such things as visiting with them many, many times; accompanied them to doctors appointments; reading to them; watching TV together; singing songs; handling any affairs they need; dispensed medications, cooking some meals, doing laundry; collaborating with nursing facilities and the VA; communicated with relatives; stayed with Wards during the weeks prior to their passing; assisted families in making funeral arrangements. In a nutshell making someone feel they have a companion who is compassionate and caring and is there for them. My personal achievement that I am proud of is being able to help people in need without taking away their dignity. I have been a legal secretary/paralegal for over 30 years and have worked with different clients from young to the elderly. I love photography, swimming, trave

I've been blessed and thankful that God always puts me where I am needed. I grow very attached to my clients and treat them as if they were family. I'm honest, patient, loving, and give 100% to everything I do in life. I don't do this type of care just for a paycheck , I do it because I'm good at it and love it !!!!
