I am a nursing student with aspirations of getting into nursing school graduating and enabling me to further my nursing studies. I have always loved this job. My mother and Aunt are both nurse practitioners and their influence is what aspired me to pursue a career in the medical field. I have worked in two different nursing homes (Beechnut Manor- 2006-2007 and Westbury Nursing Home- 2007-2009 before joining the west houston medical centre (WHMC) as a CNA (certified nursing assistant) since 2009. Both my CPR and First Aid licensure is current. Can provide direct personal patient observation, care and assistance. Give routine care to pre and post-operative and pre and postpartum patients. Measure and record intake and output. Routinely monitor and check on their blood glucose if they are diabetic. Assist with activities of daily living
