Why are you a caregiver? I love providing home caregiving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. What do you like best about care giving? Meeting new people and providing caregiving services that they can no longer do for themselves. I enjoy the opportunity to impact clients’ lives and make a difference to them. I appreciate the chance to get to know clients and their families and become an integral part of their lives. Why special qualities do you bring to your work as an in-home caregiver? I always give 100% and do the best job I can, with no exceptions or excuses. I also try to bring a sense of humor to my work. If I can add a smile or laugh to a client’s day, that means a lot to me. It is important to laugh. The daughter of one of Donna’s clients shares a little bit about the qualities Donna brings to her caregiving work: “Donna is very kind and respectful towards my mother. She is extremely attentive to her needs. What’s special about Donna is that she tries to make my mother have a great day, every day she is there, and that is not an easy task.
