I have a strong passion for care giving because I watched my mother suffer from stage 4 cancer & it eventually came to a point where she couldn't do for herself & I realized that just having someone there to help her was always a breath of relief. Years later after my my mother passed, my grandmother started suffering from Alzheimer's & dementia. As her health begin to change, we noticed some changes in her behavior with her becoming more aggressive & paranoid. As family, you never want your family to be afraid of you so the times when I could bring up memories to make my grandmother smile would make me feel so much better. I enjoy just being able to lift the spirit in the room & putting smiles on people faces. Even if they are repeating themself over & over again, I wanna always be there to listen .
