I became a caregiver because I love helping people, and being around a loving environment. My grandfather was not able to walk nor use his motor skills for years, and being by his side making sure that he still got the things he needed made me happy as well as him. After a few years he was able to do some things on his own and he would tell me how he felt like giving up and less of a man, because he was not able to do anything on his own. He always told me that if it wasn't for me being there he would have completely gave up and it was that moment that I realized what I wanted to do in life! The fact that I can make someone smile or show someone that everyone eventually needs help and to keep striving is what i love most about being a caregiver. Overall I am a loving and compassionate person that enjoys working with people.
