Hi families! My name is Sophia and I would love to work for you! I became a caregiver to gain experience in the nursing field but I ended up learning more than just how to take care of people, I learned so many life skills from my residents and sadly I learned that the elderly are not always being taken care of how they should be. I unfortunately had to resign from my last CNA job because I was taking care of a infant at the time and I did not want to expose him to the virus. I absolutely love being a caregiver because I enjoy the residents, I love hearing about their past and they have given me the best life advice I have ever heard! Many caregivers I have seen have not given much effort into their jobs, I would see most of them on their phones or watching TV unless the resident needed something, I pride myself in the fact that I make sure to interact with my residents, I love hearing their life stories, the hobbies they used to have, what crazy things they have done, and how proud they are of their children and grandchildren.
