I am currently a certified nurse assistant and have been for the last 3 years. I was a caregiver before obtaining my license since 2006 and love what I do because I enjoy helping anyone in need of help. I started when I was a teenager helping to take care of my grandma who suffered from dementia and Alzheimer's, I have felt like this is my purpose in life to help others because of the great joy and fulfilment I feel when accomplished. My personal achievements that im proud of are when I am able to help a provide my services in the manner that the client is very pleased. Making the client satisfied, comfortable, and happy is a big achievement because I know I have played a valuable part in their life. I cant describe the way I feel when I have fulfilled my duties, I know ive made a difference with someone and that is an overwhelming feeling of joy unexplainable. I am a very positive and motivational person. I am a natural giver and provider because I absolutely love to extend myself and help any in need it feels right and so good to me. This type of profession fits me and thats why ive been in this field of work for so many years, I truly love it.

The reason I have chosen to be a caregiver is because I had a sister that became paralyzed from a car accident at the age of 18. She stayed that way for 9 years until we lost her in 2017. With that being said we would see how her spirits were lifted when she was not alone. Rather it was the supportive care or or just companionship she was happy with the work they did. Seeing her build relationships with her caregivers gave my family peace. I am a talkative person which helps me build relationships with my residents easy. I enjoy the fact that at the end of each day I have helped someone with the things they are no longer able to do alone. That is what brings joy to me at the end of each day.

So as a young child was always seeking out the elderly and assisting those in need .
