I became a caregiver when my father was got cancer at age 17 I graduated high school and moved to Alabama to care for my father until he passed, that's when I knew that nursing assistant was for me after his his funeral I return to Louisiana where I enrolled in school; to be a c.n.a. after I graduated from nursing I got my first job in a nursing facility it was a wonderful experience for me. I've learned a lot but nothing is better than hands on it's a wonderful thing, I have worked in one day surgery ,the E.R.,post partum, childcare, the elderly, recovery ect. I will tell any one if you don't have the drive are this compassion for this job than this is not the right job for them.
