Hello, my name is Marilyn. I am a compassionate caregiver with over 10+ years of experience of providing in-home care for seniors and those with disabilities. I enjoy helping client's that I assist with meal prep, exercising, grocery shopping, organizing, medications reminder, companionship and light housekeeping. I have experience with clients who has demonstrated needing/care with dementia. I take pride in providing centered care while staying true to my caring, funny, down to earth personality. My passion for helping others started when my father became terminally ill with cancer. I was his full-time caregiver and realized I had a gift caring for others. I really love what I do! I get to make a difference in some amazing people life. One of my biggest professional achievements was receiving the "Director's Award" for outstanding service to clients at my last employer. I take pride in learning new information and I continue to learn and grow by taking online courses that Carelinx offers. The courses helps me to be the best caregiver I can be. I believe in lifting one another up when trials and tribulations arrives, because you just will never know that you will be the on sent by our God to uplift your brother or sister up in that very present time ! I have been in the medical field for 15 years now, I knew when I was a little girl I would in some way help people out. I use to take up for the disable kids while in school and I use to help the elders with taking their grocery bags in the house , help them walk if they had diffculty walking and etc . I enjoy putting a smile on the patient's face and I enjoy listing to their stories when they were growing up if they are able to talk with me ! I am very proud to have accomplish medical school and working in a field that care for people !
