I have always been drawn to caring for people, animals, and the natural world. While earning my degree in nutrition, I volunteered in retirement communities, soup kitchens, and with Meals on Wheels. Those experiences showed me how meaningful it can be to offer someone not only practical help, but warmth, attention, and companionship. Over the past several years, I have cared for older adults living with dementia, recovering from strokes, and managing chronic health conditions. I am patient and observant, and I understand that everyone has their own rhythms, preferences, and ways of communicating. Having lived and traveled abroad, I am comfortable connecting with people whose lives may look very different from mine. My background in nutrition helps me understand health and daily routines, while my training in yoga therapy taught me the value of calm, movement, and simply slowing down. What I enjoy most is discovering who someone is beyond the care they need. I love hearing people's stories and finding small ways to make the day feel lighter, whether we are taking a walk, cooking, listening to music, visiting a museum, or simply having an interesting conversation. My work as an artist helps me bring curiosity and imagination into caregiving, especially when a client is feeling isolated or discouraged. I have degrees in nutrition and fine art, but some of my most meaningful experiences have been much quieter: earning a family's trust, helping someone feel comfortable in their own home, or seeing a client become more engaged with life again. Outside of work, I enjoy art, poetry, reading, hiking, travel, and nature.

I've worked as a nurse assistant over 16 yrs caring for disabled, elderly, ill, and mentally challenged clients. I have worked in nursing home, hospital, home care, senior facility, respite care, private duty, direct care service, and hospice care, and trained in massage. I like to challenge myself as a caregiver with promoting new work skills. My time is giving care to others, that cannot do for themselves. My achievement is to see my three children succeed in the life that values them. For myself, to be recognized for my work performance, that's giving to each individual that has been cared for, show appreciation. I had several resident tell me that I'm wonderful, and I had a tearful moment. It's a blessing to hear positive thinking from a client. I'm a certified assistant living manager, private caregiver, and studied massage technique . Thank You.
