I wanted to become a CNA because, I want to accomplish something important in my life. As a CNA I am making a difference in not only the lives of the patients that I help, but also their friends and families. I am helping to make many peoples lives more comfortable, and it can be a very rewarding experience. With me being a CNA is a great way for me to really test myself on my goals and to exposes myself to many members of the health care team. Going through training was hard work and being in charged with caring for sick people isn't something to be taking for granted. You have to have the will and desire to help people. You also have to have patience and to be very compassionate. You have to be committed to a physically demanding job, with little tolerance for poor work ethic. I feel what makes me a good caregiver is with the 20 years experience in the medical field, I bring an additional quality that makes me the best person for the job--and that's my passion for excellence. Hello! My name is April and I would love to be your caregiver. We have been a military family for 30 years and it is time to hang it up! I first became a caregiver when I was actually 18 years old. I became a Texas EMT. I was very rewarding but we got stationed elsewhere. Then when we made it back to Fort Hood I decided to go to CNA school. Again it was very rewarding but the military moved us. Two years after we moved my grandmother became sick. Instead of going to a care facility where there is no telling how she would be treated she ended up staying at home so that her family could take care of her. Even when she would have to be hospitalized for a short period of time she would tell the nurses that I was her care giver and that she wanted me to do the tasks instead of them. I want to be your caregiver because our mature family members need great care. Not just left alone in a bed to sit.
