I'm a great caregiver because my number 1 priority is my 6 year old son, who was diagnosed at birth with Sickle Cell Anemia. Since his birth, I have worked along with his doctors and nurses to help provide the best care possible for him. I decided to become a caregiver because the medical field overall has been a passion of mine since I was a young teenager. I can remember always saying to myself "one day, I would love to be like that doctor or nurse and have that great compassion for the sick and elderly. I like to be a caregiver because I enjoy helping people and making them feel as comfortable as possible. I am most proud of becoming certified in the State of New York as Nurse Aide. My dream is to eventually become a Registered Nurse and do twice as much of the work that a nurse aide does.
