About Brandi

I'm in general a very sweet person. One of my best traits is that I thrive in environments where I'm genuinely needed. I tend to be goal oriented and, do whatever I can to meet those goals. In being a caregiver, the thing I love the most is going home knowing that at the end of the day I made a positive impact for at least one person. In my past retail experience, I never got that feeling. I was just another disposable employee. The thing that I am most proud of as caregiver is I helped one client who was thought to need institutional care for her entire adult life to re-enter societal life. She's doing well now but, better equipped to handle family life.

My job was a caretaker for a womens group home for adults with special needs. The job requirements were to prepare meals for the clients. Organize nights were the residents could mingle and enjoy time together in the common room. Help all 3 clients with daily hygiene regimens. Distribute medications to the clients according to doctor orders. I was required to do manual transfers using a transfer board ( mechanical lift would've been better suited to the job but, wasn't provided). I was also required to aide clients in toileting practices. It was also required that I transport clients to and from the dayhab facility.
