I love to fish and be one with outdoors. I love big dogs , even though my husband and so have not gotten one for ourselves. Learning to be compassionate and patient before I become a nurse really drove me to become a caregiver. I enjoys helping others and hearing their lives stories during the work day. My job at advent was on the ICU unit and occasionally ER. I was in charge of compressions during code blues , I would change and assist with bed baths to ventilated patients. I would aid in taking vitals , doing all personal hygiene. I would also sit with combative patients when needed. I was also in charge of taking blood sugars and taking patients to and from scans.

Halcyon Home
At halcyon I would either go to a patients home and provide care or I would go to a facility. I also worked "on-call" and I would get called in to aid in 12hr shifts in the patient home to provide care. In facilities I would go and help out on the floor at assisted livings or memory care unit. I got training in g-tube feedings, bolos feedings, medication administration, as well as trachea care while going to patients homes to provide care.
