I have been raised by my grandmother and have been with her until she passed away. She has a hip replacement and I was taking care of her all the time and I loved doing it. That's why I become a caregiver,because I am a very compassionate person who is caring and very responsible. I love talking Care of people specially for the elderly and sick one. And wherever I went to work with, patient and their families really appreciate what I do and they let my employer know, and I was very proud of myself. As a former public school teacher, agency staff member and school administrator, I have had the opportunity to serve families in many capacities. As a child of a parent with Alzheimer's, I have care-giving experience. Additionally, with a psychology degree, I have had the opportunity to apply strategies and best practices in working with individuals that exhibit challenging behaviors. My special education background allows me to understand how to work with PT and OT needs. Recently, I cared for a gentlemen in his home fulltime through Right At Home agency. He just transitioned to memory care. I received caregiver of the month recently. My service at Home Instead allowed me many great experiences with clients from various backgrounds and needs. I was awarded Caregiver of the Quarter by the agency Dec. 2018. It was an honor and especially when it was my pleasure to serve them. I am very reliable and dependable and enjoy immensely helping families. Caring for others has been my life's focus. I enjoy preparing meals and ensuring clients have a quality life with dignity. I am healthy and exercise frequently to stay strong mentally and physically for my clients.
