I then moved to Houston to care for my Mother in law who was diagnosed with stomach cancer i also provided total care for her on hospice.. Being a caregiver actually fills a part of my life i don't have any more my grand mother.. I really enjoy my job as a caregiver.. Born and raised here in Texas. Mother had me young so, my grandmother was my babysitter/ caregiver while mom and dad worked. I thought it was normal to always be around the elderly, at least It was to me. That's how and where my love for the elderly got started. It was planted, then later bloomed.
