My name is Leonarda Bashumika a dedicated certified Nursing Assistant ( CNA &CPR) with two years experience in private duty care. My experience and services include total care, hospice care, companionship, meal preparation, transfer assistance, using Hoyer lift, hygiene assistance, bathing, housekeeping, medication administration, monitoring vital signs and much more. In the whole period of two years, I helped two patients. The first patient had a stroke and Corticobasal degeneration(CBD) disease so he required hands on care around the clock. For that reason I provided him with all the ADL's listed above plus feeding him, positioning him in bed, use of portable commode and urinal, oral care and much more. The achievement with this patient is that I managed to care for him for a period of one year until when his care exceeded that which could be provided by one care giver and went to hospice care. The second client was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease so I closely watched her to move around safely and provided her all ADL's. .The achievement with this patient is that she was reliant on a walker but now is ambulating alone and has added 12 pounds.. Apart from earning a living I am dedicated in helping others and strive to make a difference in people’s lives. I have strong recommendation from families in which I have cared for their loved ones. I am open for a live in caregiver job.
