What makes me a great caregiver is that my heart is so big, I feel for all of the residents i have.Some of them don't have families around, so i try to build a strong bond and earn their full trust. Which i think i have with all of my residents now. My grandma was abused in a senior center with Alzheimer's, they didn't take care of her correctly, so that inspired me to want to take care of seniors so family's know their getting the best care they could get. I love my job, when i first got into this field i would of never thought i would actually end up loving it. But I did! Besides taking care of them,assisting them with medication needs,bathing/grooming, and everything else that needs to be done for them.It's the relationships and bond you get to make, and listening to everyone's stories, it's just something i really enjoy doing. The one personal achievement i am proud of is that I finished school a year early! But being a caregiver is something i plan and hope to continue to excel in this field with given the opportunity of doing so.
