My major objective for becoming a caregiver is to make a difference in people's lives. People need a doctor to diagnose and treat their diseases and ailments, they need a nurse to administer medication and treatment when they are sick. However, at all times they need a caregiver to listen to them, attend to their everyday needs and treat them with compassion. That is where I come in. What I like about being a caregiver is that it affords me the opportunity to use what I have, the skill, knowledge, experience coupled with love, honesty and integrity to help people in need. One personal achievement I am proud of is the completion of the NRCPT Phlebotomy Technician's certificate and yet, rather than sit down to do venipuncture, I chose to do what I like most--care for people. I have worked in various aspects of the healthcare system. Overseas, I worked as pharmacy technician, medical assistant and nursing assistant for eight years. Here in the United States I have taken care of different kinds of patients especially the geriatric population and those with Alzheimer's disease as a professional certified by the Alzheimer's Foundation of America. I am very reliable, dependable and both a team player and team leader. I do my job with integrity and honesty. Moreover, I take the job personal in that I view the patient as if he/she was my father/grandfather, mother/grandmother, uncle/aunty.

I have worked with many of ours seniors over the years, from Alzheimer to broken hips, strokes, Parkinson’s and with total care clients. Even with seniors that just need more help with day to day activities. I do lite housekeeping with cooking(Healthy meal planning), medications and reminders, doctor visits(giving detail reports), showers, bed baths, dressing, feeding(also tube feeding). I give comfort and reassure to my clients to insure their well-being. I am a kind, patient, honorable, dependable person, and also a very caution driver. I take very good care of my clients to the best of my availability.
