Hello! I am seeking the position of home care provider in order to care for my husband. He has recently been diagnosed with stomach cancer. I am a retired probation officer with Bexar County Adult Probation (supervised a caseload of 50+ high risk registered sex offenders) but then went back to work due to too much idle time at home. I then began working as a Substitute Teacher, all grades, with the San Antonio Independent School District. I resigned in order to care for my husband. Since my health insurance carries this benefit, I thought to apply for the position as his care provider to generate a little income as opposed to nothing. United Health Care will pay me for 14 hours. This little bit of money would help with deductibles. I wish my health insurance paid for more hours but such as it is. My apologies as I am not interested in caring for anyone else other than my husband, he is my priority. Thank you for your understanding.
