After the birth of my son, I stayed home to raise him. He started school at the age of 3 yrs. so I decided to work part-time as a caregiver while my son was in school. I was hired in 2009 by a local agency in San Antonio to work part-time . I stayed with the client for over a year. I then decided to get certifed as a CNA. It was very hard for me to leave my client, to go to school full-time . I have a lot of patience, compassion and a good heart. I have always said "An elderly person is like a baby you have care and nurture and devote all your time an attention to the individual". I enjoy working with the elderly, they have so much to offer: wisdom, knowledge,laughter and amazing stories of their childhood. My son is 10 now, I am currently taking care of my first grandaughter who was born in 2013. I am ready to start as a part-time caregiver on Saturday and Sunday evenings.
