Caregiving is in my heart and soul; I am a 35 year veteran of the field with a caring and compassionate demeanor. Growing up, I was raised and adopted by my grandparents who were loving, caring parents to me. In all, they had 9 children and with such great interaction, I always felt special with them and I was compelled to carry on this spirit because they chose to occupy their time raising me and my siblings, when they should have been enjoying the fruits of their labor. I made it my life's work to care for them in their latter years as they did for me in my formative years. It is this upbringing that helped to forge this special bond with the elderly, as I see them as my mom and dad and I take great pride in caring for them as if they were my own parents. I am loyal all the way to the end, and it is my hope that the day I am that age, I will be treated with dignity and respect as well. In my heart I always knew I would be a caregiver and the love I have for the elderly is why I chose this type of career. My longevity and reverence for this field is what drives me to be my very best every day.

I became a caregiver after volunteering for Hospice and realizing I had a passion for helping others. I really enjoy knowing that as a caregiver I can enrich the lives of so many people and help them live comfortably in their homes when their loved ones aren't able to provide the assistance needed. I also like knowing that I can be a part of allowing seniors to live their life to the fullest regardless of all the hurdles that aging and diseases can bring. I have been a caregiver for about 5 years now I have learned and grown so much as I have been exposed to many different conditions and situations such as dementia, Parkinson's, and diabetes. One of my greatest personal achievements aside from obtaining my CNA certification has been how much I have learned about Hospice and working with people in the end of life stage or with terminal illnesses. One thing I know for sure regardless of the years of experience or education I have earned towards my caregiving career I was born with a caring and compassionate heart that will be the main driving force to the excellent customer service you'll experience when I am the caregiver for your loved one. I am deeply passionate about helping others and I truly feel I have been placed on this earth to make a difference. I truly believe in \"doing small things with great love\" it is the motto I stive for everyday.

I am very energetic with my age, helpful, honest and reliable and responsible and most of all I am caring and compassionate.

I have over 19 years experience in health care and as a caregiver .In 1993. My goals was to help elderly people and make a difference in my life and there's. My experiences are in hospitals, nursing homes, assisting living to private duties cases. I am dependable at all times. I went back to school to seek my Associate Degree in Healthcare Administration as well to. I am flexible looking for full-time or part-time hour.
I always give 100% and do the best job I can, with no exceptions or excuses. I also try to bring a sense of humor to my work. If I can add a smile or laugh to a client’s day, that means a lot to me. It is important to laugh. One of the best qualities as a caregiver is my ability to be empathic. I understand that my client may feel vulnerable, scared, confused and uncomfortable, and being able to identify and allay these fears can create a sense of calm and trust for those being cared for.
