Hello my name is Amber i started off around health care for my first job in a nursing home as a Patient Care Assistant. It all dtarted from there. My family has majored in health care. My aunts,my mother, my sister and my cousins are Lvn, Rn , cna, xray tech, care givers. I looked up to my mom her being a cna she loves her job and i basically follosed her footsteps i love being a cargiver and can not imagine working in another field. When it comes to my job i think my personality, my caring attention, my dependability is what makes me good at my job. What i enjoy most about being a caregiver is spending time with my patient and getting to know them and knowing that i can be there to help with what they need. An achievement that i am proud of is being a caregiver and knowing at the end of each day my patient is taken care of and i helped in anyway i can.
I have had experience from school when I was doing the LVN program so I think this would be a great job for me to work for in between I take my state board exam. I absolutely love what I do and I'm interested in furthering my education to become an RN as soon as I acquire the experience of an LVN. I can toilet, transfer, and ambulate clients. I was taught how to work with alot of dementia and elderly clients.
I'm a dependable and compassionate caregiver. I pride myself on being able to quickly Learn new skills, and adapt to any situation. I have cared for members of my family and other people's families and would love the opportunity to put a smile on someone's face. It is my passion to take care of people :) My lenguajes: English & Spanish
Helping others is my passion. Watching my grandmother get less then what she deserved in nursing homes made me realize that I could make a positive difference in the lives of others in need. Wether temporary or permanent; I have the experience, patience and compassion required by loved ones. I have worked with La estrella home care going on 6 years and received my CNA certificate in 2016 . I have done private care as well throughout the pass 11 years.
Grew up with a single mother always having to take me along to work at the nursing homes & I always loved the company of the residents. Family full of nurses as well. I love helping people out & this is one of my career choices , registered nurse with my BSN & working at a nursing home facility or ER! I'm a young lady 19 years old currently . Anyone that meets me would say I'm the most caring , sincere person ever. I go out of my way for everyone.
I starting my nursing career very young. My mother was diagnosed with cancer when I was younger, which sparked my interest in the healthcare profession. My junior year of high school I left my home school to attend a tech prep college course in nursing. During that time I received my STNA as well as other college credits. I began working as an aid shortly after that and have been ever since. I plan to continue my education as a nurse as well. I just recently moved to San Antonio to be with my husband. He is stationed here at Lackland Airforce Base till the end of 2020 where they will then move us somewhere else.
I believe my true and #1 gift as a caregiver is that I truly listen to what the patients have to say. They still have a voice. I am a healer and a protector. I truly love being a caregiver cause I learn something everyday from them. In my past work experience, I have learned that they want to be heard just like we do. And they do have something to say but not everyone has the patience to take the time to listen to them. I miss working with the elderly and truly miss every one I took care of.
