Just a few weeks ago a former family member came back to the Hospice I am presently employed at as a patient, when he saw me he asked, “Do you remember me? My wife was a patient here two years ago,” then he said her name to remind me. He went on to say that he was very pleased with the care that I gave his wife when she was my patient and stated that now he is sick with lung cancer. He told his family he would like for the end of his life to be with caring people like me here at this hospice. Both he and his wife expired in my care while I was on duty. 4. I've been a CNA for the past 16 years. I have current CPR, first aid and TB test. I have experience assisting with ADL’s, feeding tube care (kangaroo pump and bolus), catheter care, light housekeeping, meal preparations, transfers (manual and hoya), and administering medication as prescribed by a doctor.
