Basically, i have always been a caregiver to others. It is just my nature. I believe that helping the elderly in their time is just giving back all that they gave in the past. It's nice to think that I will take care of someone like I would want to be taken care of. I have a lot of experience in the Medical Field. My long time desire was to become a Paramedic and not only work in the field, but also in the Emergency room. Since 1993 I have done that as well as becoming a caregiver. Diabetics are one thing that I have had a great deal of experience with. Two of my children are type 1 , but type 2 is also a challenge. I have experience in working with many illnesses and health issues. At request I will supply a resume.

15 years ago I was in desperate need of a caregiver for my mother. It was very difficult to find an honest, caring, trustworthy person to care for her. I went through several different caregivers, including a family friend that didn't work out for the job. I ended up quitting my job and caring for her till she died 9 years later. Hello! My name is April and I would love to be your caregiver. We have been a military family for 30 years and it is time to hang it up! I first became a caregiver when I was actually 18 years old. I became a Texas EMT. I was very rewarding but we got stationed elsewhere. Then when we made it back to Fort Hood I decided to go to CNA school. Again it was very rewarding but the military moved us. Two years after we moved my grandmother became sick. Instead of going to a care facility where there is no telling how she would be treated she ended up staying at home so that her family could take care of her. Even when she would have to be hospitalized for a short period of time she would tell the nurses that I was her care giver and that she wanted me to do the tasks instead of them. I want to be your caregiver because our mature family members need great care. Not just left alone in a bed to sit.
