I love being a caregiver I truly believe it's my calling. I have been a caregiver for over 10 years and I love keeping the elderly active and assisting with everyday ADLs. What attracted me to being a caregiver was my grandfather who I took care of for many years and I enjoyed every moment of it and spending quality time caring for him also reinsured me this was the work I wanted to do. As a caregiver what I enjoy the most is the personal connection and the one-on-one time I get spend when I'm taking care of someone.I love being part of a team that helps rehabilitate a client so they can live out the rest of their days to the fullest potential. Nevertheless, I am very proud of myself for getting into nursing school which shows how much I love caring for people and my dream is to become a gerontology nurse.
