I became a caregiver because I enjoy helping not only those who arent able to take care of themselves whether partially or totally dependent but I enjoy helping others in general. I enjoy the feeling that i get when I do for others with the same or better quality as if they were caring for themselves. I go above and beyond and am genuinely there in so many ways for my client(s). Im more than a caregiver, Im a listener, an independence promoter, companion, and much more. The achievement Im most proud of with being a caregiver is gaining trust, maintaining respect and presenting a positive and uplifting attitude at all times. I am 27 yrs old with no children. I love the healthcare profession. Im very observsative, patient, and I understand no one is perfect. I aim to please and love feedback to improve in any area needed. I like for work to be professional with flexibility when appropriate, Im neat and clean and organized. I like for my work to meet or exceed the standards/expectations for not only the client but for the family as well. I have worked in nursing homes, personal care homes (live in), and home health care. The number of years one has worked in the healthcare field shouldnt be the determining factor. You can have 12yrs of experience with no empathy or compassion and you can have 1 yr of experience and be empathetic and compassionate and vice versa. I have witnessed and I am proof of a caregiver with not as many years of experience but am one of the best caregiver
