Hello, my name is Amber I love caring for elderly patients the most. There is something about taking care of the elderly that really hits home for me. I have been taking care of the elderly since I was 16 I am now 28 years old. It all started with my grandfather, he was also someone so special to me. When he had many many strokes and was unable to care for himself my grandmother put him in a veteran home. I went to visit him one day and was just in horror of how he was being cared for. I couldnt believe that. I begged my grandma to bring him home and she did and I took care of him at the age of 16 til he passed away right after that I got my CNA which I current have and is valid. I have made many many connections with the patients that I have taken care of. I always treat the people I take care of just as if they were my own grandparents. The elderly are so amazing to me I love hearing their stories and getting to know them while I am caring for their needs. I will treat your father mother grandmother or grandfather as if they were my own because I have seen many people treated poorly and I could never ever treat anyone that way they deserve the upmost respect and dignity in any situation and I truly believe that.
