I became a caregiver since the year 2000 after I graduated from Classic Nurses Academy and took my board Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) licensure examination . Naturally, I'm compassionate , trustworthy, reliable, punctual on assignments , dedicated and above all very patience, I also love to make a difference in the life of others and put smiles on their faces, with that aspect of motivation in mind , I also helps the elderly at the volunteer food distribution in my community with whatever problems and needs that they may have. WORKING EXPERIENCE : I started working for Maxim Healthcare in January 2000. Through that, I connected with one of my clients who had Parkinson's disease. I worked with this client for a while until his children decided to hire me as a private caregiver and moved me with the client from Virginia to Colorado, because the children wanted their father to be closer to them. I took care of this client until he passed away. I returned back to Virginia after his death and started another work with Care Options in 2002. I have dealt with many clients with different needs and disabilities for the past eighteen years . I have 30 years of experience in providing personal in-home care for disabled, cognitively impaired, chronically ill, and hospice patients. I assist patients with daily personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. I monitor patients' vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration. I am a thoughtful and considerate person who takes pride in providing the best care possible. I became a caregiver through the influence of my great aunt and grandmother as they were the neighborhood caregivers. I watched them as a child and knew I wanted to do the same thing. I began by taking care of my grandmother when she became home bound in her older age. For the past three years, I was the care taker for my mother after she suffered a stroke. The thing I enjoy the most is feeling a sense of joy and humility in assisting those in need in conducting their activities of daily living. They are so appreciative. I consider it a personal achievement when they recover and there is no further need of my services. That confirms that my work with them has improved their quality of life.
