I helped take care of a very close family friend in his last years. It was very hard, but a very rewarding experience as well. I was able to ensure he was comfortable and well looked after for his last years. I also volunteered as a teenager in senior homes in high school from time to time as well. I feel it is important to honor our elderly. I also want to have experience for when I must take care of my own parents. I feel everyone deserves love, compassion, and respect in their hard, elderly years.
